A Man Of Kent Excursion

1st Day  The Kentish Man Tour

As above until you have finished at Emmetts. Then:-

1600hrs Check in at The Royal Oak Hotel in the market town of Sevenoaks

1700hrs Wander across the road, past the Parish Church of St Nicholas and into the ancient Deer Park of Knole, with its Tudor house, the largest private house in England.

1800hrs Relax with a preprandial drink back in the hotel, before walking into town to dine at one of the many excellent restaurants in this lovely old town.

And so to bed........!

2nd Day  The Man of Kent Tour (including Sussex!)

0930hrs Depart Hotel for Bodiam, a classical ruin of a castle from where we can travel on via Battle (1066 and all that) to the ancient village of Alfriston for lunch.

1400hrs The village lies on the edge of the Seven Sisters Country Park, and after a leisurely lunch, you can walk off any excess along the cliffs overlooking the English Channel with their views to the French coast, ending up on top of the famed Beachy Head, the highest point on this stretch of coast.

1500hrs Set off for home through the soft Sussex and Kent countryside, arriving back at your hotel just in time for the first sundowner at around 1730hrs.

Best of all, unless you are in a hurry, you will scarcely have seen a major road from the time you left the outskirts of London 'til the time you get back!
